Cycling Plus – Sportful Ultra Light WS Vest – Best On Test!!

It’s a piece of apparel that you’ll use 365 days a year. A core piece of kit that should be in every cyclist’s wardrobe (when they’re not wearing it!)

The photo above – yes there is a tentative link to the vest! – Was taken on a ride last summer when visiting the guys at Sportful. One of the stand out rides of the summer and a day where the Ultra Light WS Vest came into it’s own.

Windstopper protection but super light weight and packable, 3 rear pockets for the mass of energy products associated with a 7 hr ride in the mountains… A partial mesh construction for great breathability and fit. And of course the clean sharp, classic colour ways that’ll ensure the vest matches with your favourite kit.

We’d be the first to agree that the C3 Products website gets neglected… it’s been a few weeks, ok months since we posted anything!

News and reviews have been plentiful over the winter months and the Sportful brand continues to grow and garner some fantastic reviews.

It’s nice to look back at all the reviews, having spent the winter months “getting the miles in” wearing and testing the Sportful apparel ourselves…

Anyways, it would be remiss of us not to feature the review of the Sportful Extreme Jacket and No Rain Bib-tight featured in Pro Cycling magazine. They’re two of our favourite pieces of apparel and of course Pro cycling always makes for a good read.

Cycling Weekly Meets Swift Carbon

Our favourite bike brand Swift Carbon was featured in a recent edition of Cycling Weekly. An opportunity for the guys at the Weekly and their readership to have a first look at the 2013 Swift Carbon Ultravox TI and Neurogen.

Tri Plus - Super Bikes

The guys at Tri Plus have put together this sharp looking magazine supplement, aptedly named Super Bikes…. The title is something of a give away to the contents. The top 10 TT / Triathlon bikes on the market today, have been hand picked by the experts. The Swift Carbon Neurogen has made the cut!!

Lets face it going fast on a bike is a lot of fun.. The Swift Carbon Neurogen, is designed to ensure those extra mph aren’t just restricted to straightline speed, confidence inspiring handling means those corners can be taken at full gas too….

Slippery fast, super responsive and in our humble opinion just a great looking bike!

Swift Carbon UltraVox RS-1 Pro Cycling long Term Test (click to enlarge image)

Just a few words from Pro Cycling Magazine on the long term testing of the Swift Carbon Ultravox RS-1…. Have a read, those few words say it all.

We’ve said it a thousand times, the Swift Carbon UltraVox is the real deal…. a beautiful, well balanced bike, that is fast, responsive and comfortable. From punchy short efforts, to all day riding in the mountains. It’s a bike we’d recommend, time and time again….

Sportful Hot Pack UltraLight Jacket - Euro Bike Launch

EuroBike has come and gone. The show was a blur of activity, good laughs and plenty of bike talk with friends and customers alike.

While we’re slightly biased… Sportful’s new Hot Pack Ultralight Jacket had to be one of the highlights of the show. At 50g its crazy light! To put that into perspective it’s 31g lighter than Sportful’s standard Hot Pack Jacket and 17g lighter than the vest / gillet. Its super durable, given its light weight build, with some great finishing features throughout.

Pro Cycling Magazine - Sportful BodyFit Pro Review

Pro Cycling Magazine is a favourite at C3 Products, an opportunity to catch up on what’s happening in the Pro Peloton, fantastic interviews and some great tech features….  (the grainy instagram photograph is a poor reflection of this – sorry guys)

Sporful BodyFit Pro bibshorts Classic and Race Jersey are featured in this months publication. The overall verdict says it all “The very best we’ve tested” 

That is high praise indeed! BUT and we should say this, justifiably so… BodyFit Pro apparel is exactly the same as Pro team, Saxo Bank – Tinkoff. Same cut, fit and material technology. The jersey and bibshorts retail for £85 each. Both are super comfortable, fast and pretty dam cool in our books.

Women's Cycling Apparel - Cycling Plus Feature

This months Cycling Plus has a great feature on Women’s Cycling Clothing. The article showcased key manufacturers and their offerings for women’s cycling apparel – a suggested cycling kit for summer bike riding…

Our favourite brand, Sportful featured and received some great feedback from the experts. Notably the Hot Pack 4 Donna Jacket and Anakonda shorts both receiving high scores and plenty of superlatives.

The magazine, as always makes for an interesting read…available at all good newsagents
